We are in the green country of Western Africa: Burkina Faso. The donations coming from our nation turn into rice, oil, dinner here in Africa. They become life water coming out of the wells within the dry red lands carried by buckets to houses
Initially we will open the well that has been made with the Cansuyu benefactors for the Kouka County of the capital city Bobo Dioulasso of that country. Later we will distribute 150 packs of rice and oil. After five hundred kilometers of travel from capital Ouagadougou we arrive to Kouka where a little surprise was waiting for us. The leader of the region who was assigned to the opening of the water well Emile Sonou welcomes our team with a village protocol. Emile has put anyone including the older and younger people of the village on the boots situated under the shadows of the trees. They welcome our team that has come from far away only to help them. The image in which the eldest women of the village are sitting under the shadows of the tree just like in an order makes me think that would be a great sight for post card. They had colorful and local clothes on their head and bodies. They had innocence and neutrality on their faces. Our only common words were “Esselamu Aleyküm, and aleyküm selam”. When we asked how they were, they used to answer like “elhamdulillah”.
We open the Cansuyu wells in Kokua with the prayers of Imam Hussein Gamsouli. Emile expresses his impressions about the fact that Cansuyu has come all that way along from Anatolia in the name of humanity. He thanked to the benefactors. He said that he would like to give us something to eat if we were not fasting. He forced us to accept to cocks and we directly given them to our partner entity.
LIFE WATER TO THE HEARTHS OF CHRISTIAN FAMILIES!
Twenty per cent of Burkina and Kokou is Christian. So is our host Emile. As for Abdurrahman Sidibi who is the Director of Green Cost Local Assistance Organization; he said that thanks to the assistance activities of Cansuyu within the region the opinion of Christian public which lives in peace with Muslim community, started to change even a more positive way. He also said there were even some of them who have chosen Islam. Well, as we say “Human is the slave of benefaction”.
