Cansuyu performs its activities in a large are of Africa distributing Ramadan aid to Senou city as well as capital Bamako of Mali and especially in rural areas of the country. Cansuyu hat gives provisions and dinners also continue to open water well in the region for the usage of the local people.
Cansuyu has opened more than 30 water wells in Mali in a period in which the deaths caused by the shortage of clean water have increased, is already known by the local people. Cansuyu volunteer Ömer ÅžimÅŸek from Cansuyu team said that they had very emotional moments in some villages. In many villages they go, the people have dinner with the water coming from the water wells opened by Cansuyu, he said: “People see us as the members of the families. Previously made assistances have not been forgotten here. Water wells were dream for the people. Cansuyu made this dream a reality and since they come together for the night prayer and pray all together for Cansuyu and for the ones who have donated. Poverty is so visible here. Despite this they are highly connected to praying and religion which is quite meaningful. They have mosques covered by lines all around in every village and they pray all together. Our dinners are quite different. My best dinners of Ramadan have been the ones I had here”.
Cansuyu performs common studies with Mali Culture and Cooperation Association is appreciated a lot by local people as well as the authorizers of the association. These assistances have not been only to fill the stomach but also to strengthen the Muslims in the region.
ÅžimÅŸek said that Ramadan dinners have been very abundant and that they reached thousands of people with provision distributions. Each family that got provisions had a nice smile and “: Their eyes were smiling. I wish you could be here to see who they were happy”.
Cansuyu teams make Ramadan organization and at the same time perform water wells researched. The teams will stay in the region until the end of Ramadan and they will continuously work to deliver the donations of the benefactors.
