Cansuyu runs to the help of Gaza people that are not even able to bring bread to their homes because of the embargo of Israel and provided the bread and food needs of 3500 people that would be sufficient for 30 days of Ramadan.
Cansuyu that reaches thousands of sufferers, orphans and unfortunates during each Ramadan continues its intense activities. It reactivates the most beautiful examples of abundance and richness of Ramadan, cooperation and being brother and brings assistance to war, disaster and crises areas.
Cansuyu Assistance and Cooperation Organization, provided bread and food to 3500 Gaza people within the frame of “Providing bread for the affected families in Gaza line and supporting the food security” project. These 3500 people were the ones who could not bring bread or food material to their houses because of the embargo and war that has been continuing since two years.
Cansuyu General Director Mustafa Köylü who gave information about the project draws attention to the fact the embargo applied by Israel in Gaza line which is one of the most crowded places of the world and said: “The war ruined hundreds of houses and increased the proportion of homeless and jobless people. Highly increasing poverty and unemployment percentages and Israel’s obstacle to arrival of the workers to their workplaces caused the inability of meeting the basic needs of the people. Since the flour and breads are extremely expensive the people cannot even find bread to consummate daily”.
Islam Association and Cansuyu carrying out activities in the region developed this common project for which they will provide the daily bread need of 3500 people. The project was launched in the first day of Ramadan and it will continue 2 months more after the Ramadan.
Köylü stated that the people without any revenue at all, living in poverty limit, homeless people lost their homes because of the world, the ones who do not receive any other assistance from any other organization and especially the handicapped people will use the project and he continued: “Gaza line is for the first time in extremely bad and economic situation. The people living there are in very hard conditions because of the massive punition policy and borders that have been closed for month by Israel. This situation affected negatively the living standards and all aspects of life of Palestine side”.
Cansuyu that has been in the side of Palestine and Gaza people since its foundation will provide the bread need of 3500 people for 3 month and it will continue being with Gaza with this project.
